Welcome to Prestige Games! Our events are designed to be fun, fair, welcoming, and community-focused. By registering for or participating in any Prestige Games event, you agree to follow the policies below.
1. Event Registration
Some events may have limited capacity. Spots are given on a first-come, first-served basis unless otherwise stated.
Payment may be completed online or in person at Prestige Games.
Players using store credit cannot complete payment online. If a player would like to use store credit toward an event registration fee, they must either contact Prestige Games directly through WhatsApp or Instagram or visit the store in person so staff can assist with the payment.
Registration is only confirmed once payment has been completed. If payment is not received within the required time frame, Prestige Games reserves the right to cancel the registration and release the spot to another player.
2. Check-In and Start Times
Players are expected to arrive and check in before the posted event start time.
Late arrivals may not be guaranteed entry once the tournament or activity has started. If a player is late but still allowed to participate, the round or event timer may begin without them, and the player may lose that time from their match or participation window.
Prestige Games reserves the right to adjust pairings, entry, participation, or late penalties at staff discretion.
3. Refunds and Cancellations
Event entry fees are generally non-refundable once the event has started.
Refunds or store credit may be offered at Prestige Games’ discretion if a player cancels at least 24 hours before the event begins, if the event is cancelled by Prestige Games, or if there are special circumstances.
Players requesting a cancellation, refund, or store credit must contact Prestige Games via phone, WhatsApp or Instagram. Requests made less than 24 hours before the event may not be eligible for a refund or store credit unless approved by Prestige Games.
Prestige Games reserves the right to cancel, reschedule, or modify an event due to low attendance, staffing issues, product delays, safety concerns, or other unforeseen circumstances.
4. Player Conduct
All players, guests, and spectators are expected to treat others with respect.
The following behaviour is not allowed:
- Harassment, bullying, threats, or intimidation
- Discriminatory or hateful language
- Cheating, theft, or dishonest behaviour
- Excessive profanity or disruptive behaviour
- Damaging store property or another person’s belongings
- Unsportsmanlike conduct toward players, staff, judges, or guests
Prestige Games reserves the right to remove any person from an event or the store for inappropriate behaviour, with or without refund depending on the situation.
5. Fair Play and Tournament Integrity
Players are expected to follow the rules of the game, the event format, and any instructions provided by Prestige Games staff, tournament organizers, or judges.
Cheating, intentional misrepresentation, marked cards, outside assistance, bribery, collusion, or any form of tournament manipulation is strictly prohibited.
Prestige Games reserves the right to issue warnings, match losses, disqualifications, bans, or other penalties when necessary to protect the fairness of the event.
6. Deck Lists, Materials, and Player Responsibility
For certain events, players may be required to provide deck lists, sleeves, dice, counters, tokens, playmats, or other required materials.
Players are responsible for bringing legal and tournament-ready decks, cards, and accessories. Prestige Games is not responsible if a player is unable to participate due to missing, illegal, damaged, or incorrect materials.
7. Prizing
Prize structures may vary depending on the event type, attendance, product availability, or official tournament requirements.
Unless otherwise stated, prizing is awarded based on final standings, participation, or the specific prize structure posted for that event.
Prestige Games reserves the right to adjust prize support if attendance changes, if there is an error in the event listing, or if product availability changes.
8. Product-Based Events
Some events, such as prereleases, sealed events, drafts, or special product events, may depend on product availability.
If product is delayed, allocated, damaged, or unavailable, Prestige Games may reschedule, modify, or cancel the event. In these cases, affected players may be offered a refund, store credit, or another solution at staff discretion.
9. Minors and Supervision
Players under the age of 13 should be accompanied by a parent or guardian unless otherwise approved by Prestige Games staff.
Parents and guardians are responsible for the behaviour, safety, and supervision of minors attending events.
Prestige Games staff are not responsible for babysitting or providing one-on-one supervision for children during events.
10. Personal Belongings
Players are responsible for their own belongings, including cards, decks, binders, bags, electronics, and personal items.
Prestige Games is not responsible for lost, stolen, misplaced, traded, or damaged items.
We recommend keeping valuables with you at all times and avoiding leaving items unattended.
11. Trading and Buying/Selling During Events
Trading may be allowed in designated areas, but all trades are the responsibility of the individuals involved.
Prestige Games is not responsible for trade disputes, buyer’s remorse, card condition disagreements, or value changes after a trade is completed.
Buying and selling between customers may be restricted or prohibited on store property unless approved by Prestige Games staff.
12. Food, Drinks, and Cleanliness
Food and drinks may be restricted in certain play areas or during certain events.
Players are expected to clean up after themselves and keep the play area respectful and organized. Spills, garbage, or damage caused by a player may result in removal from the event or store.
13. Photos, Videos, and Media
Prestige Games may take photos or videos during events for promotional use on our website, social media, or marketing materials.
By attending an event, you acknowledge that you may appear in event-related photos or videos. If you do not wish to be photographed or recorded, please notify Prestige Games staff before the event begins.
14. Health and Safety
Prestige Games reserves the right to remove or refuse entry to anyone who creates a safety concern for staff, players, or guests.
Players should not attend events if they are feeling unwell, have symptoms of a contagious illness, or have been asked by staff to leave due to health or safety concerns.
15. Accessibility and Accommodations
Prestige Games aims to provide a welcoming and accessible environment for all players.
If you require accommodations for an event, please contact us before the event date so we can do our best to assist you.
16. Store Authority
Prestige Games staff, judges, and tournament organizers have final authority over event operations, rulings, seating, pairings, penalties, and conduct decisions.
Failure to follow staff instructions may result in removal from the event or store.
17. Policy Changes
Prestige Games reserves the right to update, modify, or change this Event Policy at any time. The most current version will be posted on our website.
