Prestige Games Warranty and Product Condition Policy

Last Updated: June 11, 2026

Thank you for shopping at Prestige Games. Please review our warranty and merchandise condition policies before making a purchase.

1. No Commercial Store Warranties

Prestige Games operates strictly as a third-party retailer of tabletop games, trading card products, sports cards, and hobby accessories. We do not provide any direct commercial warranties, extensions, or guarantees of any kind on the items sold through our storefront or online shop. All products are sold on an "as is" and "as available" basis.

2. Trading Card Singles and Condition Grading

Individual trading card singles are collectible items, and their market value is closely tied to their physical condition. Prestige Games grades card singles based on industry-standard criteria (such as Near Mint, Lightly Played, Moderately Played, or Heavily Played). These grades represent our professional assessment and are not a certified or permanent warranty of a card grade. Once a card leaves our premises or passes our 48-hour shipping inspection window, we cannot guarantee its ongoing condition or offer any grading recourse.

3. Factory Defects and Manufacturer Responsibilities

For all factory-sealed merchandise, including booster boxes, packs, tins, board games, and protective sleeves, any internal manufacturing defects are covered strictly under the policies of the original publisher or manufacturer (such as The Pokémon Company International, Wizards of the Coast, Konami, or Ultra PRO).

Examples of factory defects include:

  • Sealed packs containing missing, misprinted, or physically warped cards.
  • Factory-sealed board games missing components, tokens, or rulebooks.
  • Sealed booster boxes with damaged structural packaging beneath the intact factory shrink wrap.

Prestige Games cannot open sealed merchandise to verify internal quality control, nor do we stock loose replacement parts for sealed products. If you encounter a factory defect, you must contact the manufacturer directly to open a claim under their quality-control guarantee. Our team will be happy to provide you with the publisher's official support contact channels to help you navigate their replacement process.

4. Statutory Warranties under Ontario Law

Nothing in this policy is intended to limit or bypass your legal rights under the Ontario Sale of Goods Act or the Consumer Protection Act. Under provincial law, goods sold must be fit for their ordinary purpose and match their advertised description. If a product arrives with external transit damage or does not match the item description listed on your invoice, please refer to our Return and Refund Policy to submit a verified claim within our mandatory 48-hour shipping window.
